Cochrane Labour Day Parade!

Howdy from Hank…

Howdy Folks!

As you know, the Rotary Club of Cochrane will be the Marshal at this year's Labour Day Parade.

This year, our float will feature the amazing outhouse Gerard built for our Outhouse Races, plus a truck Cyndie will provide to promote next year's races, along with our huge Rotary banner.

All Rotarians are invited to attend and are asked to wear their white hats and blue vests.

At a minimum, we will require the following:

Two to three Rotarians to hold and walk with the special Marshal banner.

6-8 Rotarians to hold and walk with the Rotary banner

4 runners for the Outhouse and one rider. I will try to get our fabulous team that participated in the Outhouse Races.

The Parade route is approximately 1.7 kilometres and may take up to 1.5 hours, and we ask all participants to wear comfortable shoes.

If you have mobility issues, you can ride in Cyndie's truck.

This year's check-in location will be at Griffin Road and River Avenue, and road closures will begin at 8 A.M., so please arrive before then to avoid being impacted.

The form-up deadline is 9:15, so please arrive by 8:30.

Check-in Location: Corner of Griffin Road & River Ave.

All participants must be checked in and at the form-up location – NO LATER

Clark suggests that parade participants park in the Save On Parking Lot.

The Parade will start at 10 A.M.

Parade Start Location: The parade starts at the corner of Railway St and River Ave, and will travel West on Railway, North on 5th, East on 1st Street, and south on River.

See you there!

-Hank
