Ranch Park Foundation and Rotary Club of Cochrane & Rotary Clubs of Calgary launch Rotary Music and Motion

On September 15th and 16th, 2012, thousands joined us for the first ever Rotary Music and Motion Fall Festival! A concert in the park, a gala dinner and auction on Saturday, followed by a half marathon, 5km, and 10km run and beautiful weather made one fun-filled weekend for the entire family!

The Bow RiversEdge Campground Society

A four season campground is a focused and continually changing community of short and long term visitors. As such, the campground benefits the surrounding, established communities: it provides campers with an opportunity to explore the Greater Cochrane Community and it equally provides the community a chance to share the beauty and richness of their hometown.

The “Capital Re-Investment” Partnership formed between The Cochrane Lions and Rotary Club of Cochrane with the Rocky View County and the Town of Cochrane directs the “profit funds” from the Bow RiversEdge Campground Society back into the Greater Cochrane Community. By distributing profits back into our Community’s Capital Projects, this truly is a win/win situation for the Community and those who visit it.

The Capital Re-Investment Fund is a grant-based program which provides funding in the categories of sport and recreation, cultural & the arts, sustainable development and community services.

Cochrane Rotary Youth Talent Festival

The Cochrane Rotary Youth Talent Festival began approximately 15 years ago. Under the umbrella of the Rotary Club of Cochrane, the festival has been a vehicle for thousands of young people to gain performance skills and opportunities in a safe and supportive atmosphere.

Initially the festival featured vocal, instrumental and dance performances. Then the festival strengthened its focus on vocal and instrumental performance, while providing opportunity for presentation in the areas of musical theatre, speech, bands and the growing category of composition. Last year, dance was reintroduced and a brand-new category - visual arts - created. These will be available again this year!

This festival is a non-profit activity. The organizing committee is made up of volunteers from the community. It showcases creative excellence in performing arts, and the focus is to encourage quality and healthy performance in an inspiring atmosphere.

Festival Dates for 2013

May 6th, 7th and 8th.

Finale May 10th.
